MESSIAN DREAD - MAN FROM GALILLEE ACAPELLA

MESSIAN DREAD - MAN FROM GALILLEE ACAPELLA
STUDIO DUBROOM DOWNLOAD

To Download Page

WWW, May 2014 - Attention Dub Producers: you can now download the lead and backing vocals as well as drum, bass, chords and even midi with musical data from Messian Dread's track "Man From Galilee" for free!

The package comes with several wave files you can simply insert in your audio sequencer at 125 BPM and everything will play in sync, enabling you to create your very own musical track around the dry vocals. Backing and lead vocals come seperatly.

The musical audio files (with the exception of the bass line) are there primarily for guidance. The original drums are not included and the chords can be re-programmed much more interestingly. There's a midi file containing the chords as well as the bass line for your reference.

The audio is completely dry. No effects whatsoever, so you can create your very own sound by using your own reverbs or whatever. You might need to normalize the vocal files and/or others, there is no volume balance between the instruments. You really need to create your own musical track but then, that's what you want anyway as a self-respecting producer of (DUB) Reggae Music.

More instructions and a license are included in the package, which you can download as a RAR file or ZIP. Click "DOWNLOAD" to be directed to the Download page.

MESSIAN DREAD - HIS IMPERIAL DUBWISE

MESSIAN DREAD - HIS IMPERIAL DUBWISE
DUBROOM NET LABEL RELEASE

WWW, May 2014 - Presented in two different versions, each with their own distinctive vibe: His Imperial Dubwise is the first release in the new Messian Dread/Dubroom sound. New Sound? Yes! Check out the result of a major upgrade while picking up a Dub that can be described as a must-hear for everyone with an opinion about His Imperial Majesty.

It's not just the real horns and other instruments, it's not just the effects and the obvious improvement in the quality of the sound, it's not just the vocals. It's that and more. It's a new step in the sound development of the Dubroom Studio as everyone can hear.

His Imperial Dubwise comes in two different mixes. The first one contains 4 minutes of intense mixing where no instrument or vocal is left unchanged by the effects. Effects that are evidently different and better than the ones used before. It's in this first mix that you can really check that out for yourself while the extended Dub which follows carries a message that is as relevant and important as it was when it was delivered back in 1966.

It's all about a speech entitled "One Race, One Gospel, One Task". He spoke the words in Berlin during an evangelical congress organized by the well known evangelist Billy Graham. Addressing christian evangelists and leaders, he encouraged them to spread the Good News of Jah Salvation. But not after having been welcomed with an ovation that lasted well over a minute. And not after having been introduced as the obvious choice of "Chief of State to come and greet us in the Name of Christ" by Billy Graham himself.

Yes, we are speaking about an introduction to the Biblical and spiritual relevance of Ethiopiah and His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie the First. An introduction that transcended merely opening for a speech back in '66 as Billy Graham sums up the many reasons why his choice of Ethiopiah and H.I.M. to address a congress of evangelists and other workers for Christ is so obvious.

This release can therefore serve as an educational tool while the new sound which is currently under development can be discovered in -especially- the first track. The effects and techniques used are new, at least partly. At the time of this release (May 2014), there's hard work in the studio as many tracks are produced which Jah willing be eventually released and they will hopefully surprise both friend and foe.

This two track release is presented as 128/320 Kbps MP3 Files or true CD Quality WAVE Audio, as usual with releases out of the Dubroom Studio. Click "DOWNLOAD" to go to the Download Page. All Rights reserved © 2014 Messian Dread/Dubroom

DILLINGER - DUB THE WICKED

DILLINGER - DUB THE WICKED
DUBROOM NET LABEL RELEASE

Visit Release Page

WWW, April 2014 - A solid steppers riddim, heavily dubbed while the drum and bass line takes you from the top to the very last drop: here's a fresh release out of the Dubroom studio with two Dub versions carrying Dillinger presenting and providing a short message.

"Dub the Wicked" is created in April 2014, using new instruments and effects even though this might not be too obvious. There's a -real- guitar and percussion, and there's a more old-skool type of reverb incorporated into the mix.

The tech-know aside: enjoy over ten minutes of heavy Dub, with a definite Old Skool vibe. Two different mixes, presented in several qualities of MP3 or -as usual- CD quality WAVE Audio.

Radio Dubroom 2014 Chapter 3: Sounds of the Singers and Players of Instruments

SOUNDS OF THE SINGERS AND PLAYERS OF INSTRUMENTS
RADIO DUBROOM 2014 CHAPTER 3

READ ON, CHECK PLAY LIST, DOWNLOAD PODCAST (128 or 320 KBPS)

WWW, April 2014 - An ultra rare 12" by Misty in Roots, an equally out of print and hard to get 7" by Brimstone and a perhaps even more rare DUB from the online community by Kwame: just three highlights out of the third chapter of Radio Dubroom 2014. Over one and a half hour of heavyweight sounds of the Singers and Players of Instruments, including the mixing board.

The set opens up with a selection of older UK Roots Reggae and DUB. As the history of Reggae in the UK is as old as the music itself, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise to find out all kinds of historic recordings that have gone lost in the memory holes of just too many people. Misty in Roots' excellent 12" "Salvation (Discomix)" and Brimstone's 7" "Final Judgement/Final Dub" are two of them.

Messian Dread Meets Zion Train - Dub Selections (EP)

MESSIAN DREAD MEETS ZION TRAIN - DUB SELECTIONS EP
DUBROOM NET LABEL RELEASE

Visit Album Page

WWW, April 2014 - Lost, but found and added with extra mixes: here is the musical result of the Dubroom's review of the Zion Train DUB Selections samples and loop DVD. Created stricktly with Proppellerhead's Reason (Version 3.0) and only a minimum use of additional sounds and instruments, this EP gives a good indication what can be done with the samples but equally provides a nice listening experience for those that love their DUB music.

Four titles and seven different mixes, with more than enough vocal parts, real horns and other instruments. Each with a solid drum and bass line, some of which you might recall from earlier Zion Train releases on one of their labels. The mixing style is obviously Messian Dread's, even though a more or less standard set-up was used for these tracks.

Unlike most of Messian Dread's releases, this one is not copyrighted under Creative Commons. So please do not re-distribute the album as such, but -of course!- feel free to add them to your podcast or radio show or DJ set.

Radio Dubroom 2014 Chapter 2: The Prophets Ride Again

THE PROPHETS RIDE AGAIN
RADIO DUBROOM 2014 CHAPTER 2

Go To Chapter

WWW, April 2014 - Serious DJ chanting by Tappa Zukie, Prince Fari, U Brown, Dillinger and Trinity. Essential singers , too: Michael Prophet, Linvall Thompson, Prince Alla, Junior Ross, Cornell Campbell, Horace Andy as well as Yabby You and the Prophets (who gave the title to this chapter). That is, next to the necessary heavyweight DUB mixing by none other than King Tubby, Prince Jammy, Ernest Hoo Kim and others. This is the second chapter of Radio Dubroom 2014!

The set starts off with an introduction DUB carrying the vocals of Michael Prophet. Linvall Thompson continues to set the tone with an excellent Discomix, just before a vocal, DJ and DUB by Yabby You, the Prophets, Trinity and King Tubby's. Thunder and lightning!

The second part is reserved for the DJ's. Roots and culture, chant it out and chant it loud loud: this is what Tappa Zukie, U Brown and other are doing and they are doing it on some heavyweight DUB fe true.

Heavyweight DUB is the topic of the third part: steppers and one drop rhythms with thunderous bass lines and skillful manual DUB mixing. This is not old skool style, this is old skool!

The last and fourth part of the set is a combination of singers doing their work and the DUB engineers doing the same: That's right: time for chapter and version, Discomixes, A and B sides combined. Horace Andy, Prine alla, Junior Ross and Cornell Campbell are there.

Are you?
