"A PERSONAL OPINION (2)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, October 5 2009 - It's really important for me as Dubroom Webmaster to not make my personal opinions decide, for example whether or not to review a specific artist's work.
That's why every column I write for Dubroom Online ends with a disclaimer that seperates my personal reflections from the rest of the Dubroom's contents.
The reason for that is quite simple: The Dubroom was never intended to be just a website which promotes the works of Messian Dread.
The Dubroom promotes (DUB) Reggae and Consciousness, which is definitely a Greater Cause: The more (DUB) Reggae becomes popular, the more a music which by nature is related to Consciousness enters into the hearts and minds of many people worldwide.
One Love, Give Thanks,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)
The above column is the personal opinnion of the Webmaster and does not neccesarily reflect the contents of the Dubroom Website and/or Message Boards and/or Weblogs.
ITEMS FOR THIS EDITION:
WWW, October 5 2009 - From the incredible Dread At The Controls album, Mikey Dread chants it up in truth and right as he pays respect to the upfull and righteous Rastaman. The musical atmosphere is just too nice and in complete harmony with the lyrical content.
WWW, October 2009 - Horns, backing vocals, a One Drop rhythm with several changes in the chord progressions: indeed, a rather technical description of a laid back, easy going Roots Reggae track just the right way.
WWW, October 2009 - When she released her classic album "Black Cinderella" in 1984, Sister Carol had already established her name as a woman DJ. Based in Brooklyn, she did a lot to forward Reggae Music into the U S of A and also appeared in a number of movies.
