FROM THE WEBMASTER'S DIARY

Dubroom Online, Edition October 6 2009

Dubroom Online, Edition October 6 2009

"FROM THE WEBMASTER'S DIARY" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)

WWW, October 6 2009 - While the renovation is in progress, the works continue: slowly, the Dubroom Artist Pages reaching a form and a little bit of substance with currently over 50 artists presented.

The MP3 Portal is completely cleaned from dead links and every day, new items are added.

The readers and visitors will find names that they will also find in any quality Reggae store, with the exception that you can actually take a few tunes for free even though we do ask the readers and visitors to support the artists and the labels by purchasing the albums.

Definitely not there yet, but I have good hope that before the year is over, this-and-that will be quite interesting for the people who like to go to Dubroom for some musical pleasure.

One Love, Give Thanks,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)

The above column is the personal opinnion of the Webmaster and does not neccesarily reflect the contents of the Dubroom Website and/or Message Boards and/or Weblogs.

ITEMS FOR THIS EDITION:

JAH FREE - DUB ONE ANOTHER (DUBROOM ONLINE MP3 REVIEW)

WWW, October 6 2009 - After about a minute into this piece of UK DUB Niceness, the bass drops in and digital echo's are on their way. Jah Free's militant style is perfectly captured, while there's enough (not too much) vocals in the Dub.

TAJ WEEKES AND ADOWA - COLD (DUBROOM MP3 REVIEW)

WWW, October 2009 - It's anything but Cold: Taj Weekes and his band Adowa just know how to create a super relaxed vibe by playing straight forward Roots Reggae without "experimental" straying from the music that we all love so much.

I ROY (DUBROOM ARTIST PAGE)

WWW, October 2009 - I Roy does not differ just one letter in his artist name with that of the Founding Father of DJ style: he was right there to back him up and was even given his name by U Roy.

A true pioneer of toasting, Roy Samuel Reid deserves much more than just a footnote in the history books of Reggae Music and the way he died is -like many Reggae artists- unacceptable.
