"THIS IS THE DUBROOM (9)" (WEBMASTER'S COLUMN)
WWW, September 10 2009 - Thanks for your interest in the Dubroom, and also for your interest in this little column.
During the last week-and-a-day, I've been sharing a bit concerning the Dubroom, especially from my own point of view as founder, editor and main contributor.
It is a blessing to promote (DUB) Reggae and Consciousness, to maintain an independent position in order to uphold a tradition that made Reggae Music appeal to the hearts and souls of too many millions of people world wide.
It would be totally foolish to make a Reggae Website without respecting the tradition that made the Music big. In any way, it would totally eradicate the reason why this website exists.
One Love, Give Thanks,
Messian Dread (Dubroom Webmaster)
The above column is the personal opinnion of the Webmaster and does not neccesarily reflect the contents of the Dubroom Website and/or Message Boards and/or Weblogs.
ITEMS FOR THIS EDITION:
WWW, September 10 2009 - Here we have Horace Andy singing a cover version of the well known non-Reggae title. He's doing it over a dubbed out Rub a Dub riddim, making this one a thousand times more enjoyable than the original. Crucial!
WWW, September 2009 - Fresh Poulp Records' first attempt at an all-Dub compilation surely came up with some really crucial Dub Steppers among some weaker choices.
WWW, August 2009 - Ever since they were founded in the wake of the 1970's UK Reggae Band Boom, Misty In Roots are known for their uncompromising, spiritual and militant Roots Reggae. This is a band that will always sing praises to Jah and chant down Babylon.
WWW, August/September 2009 - From August 16 to September 30, the Dubroom presents a new track available for free download at EZTRACKS.com. Just click to listen and check it out!
